Laina Raveendran Greene is the founder of GetIT. Laina has a track
record working with clients such as Pacific Internet, Telemedia Italia,
Gilat, Cisco Systems, International Telecommunications Union, UNCTAD,
World Bank, Commercial Internet Exchange, Teleglobe, Asia Pacific
Network Information Centre, South Pacific Forum, etc. Laina has a great
passion for disseminating knowledge, and has conducted telecom and
Internet regulatory training for key regulators and policy makers in
the region, which have included China, Iran, Mongolia, Laos, Cambodia,
Vietnam, the Pacific Islands, etc. Laina has a law degree from the
National University of Singapore and a Masters of Law from Harvard
University. She also did her graduate studies in international law at
the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland
on scholarship and was a Research Fellow at Georgetown Law School under
the Albert Gallatin Scholarship. She also taught a Masters and
undergraduate course on Telecommunications Law in the Faculty of Law at
the National University of Singapore from 1995-97 as an adjunct
professor.
Loh Kok Choy is well known in Singapore for his work as a tireless
champion at SPRING Singapore, for the cause of small and medium sized
enterprises. Before joining SPRING Singapore, he spent 20 years in the
private sector working with companies such as Esso and British
Petroleum, where he gained a deep understanding of the needs of
enterprises and the role the public service can play in their growth.
In his two decades in the private sector, he had the opportunities to
work in many different management capacities. He is thus well versed
not only in general and strategic management, but also in business
development and sales management, production and quality management,
and financial management.
Barrie
Williams joined GetIT as a member of the Board of Directors and was
Director of Business Development. Due to his commitments in Australia,
Barrie decided he best served GetIT in the capacity of an Advisor to
the Board. He has over 30 years' experience in the Information
Technology industry. His career has focused on the Executive
Operational Management of fast growing software and services companies
throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Mr Williams is a founder of Asia
Strategic Initiatives Pte Ltd (ASI) and prior to founding Asia
Strategic Initiatives he held other positions such as Vice President,
Asia Pacific for Frontstep (formerly Symix Computer Systems), a leading
end-to-end Enterprise Business Solutions (including ERP, SCM and CRM)
provider for small to medium sized enterprises, and Regional Director,
Asia, with QAD Asia Pacific. In both these companies he ensured that
profit and revenue growth exceeded market average growth rates during a
time of difficult trading conditions due to the Asian and World
economic crises.
Major corporations such as Cisco Systems, HP, IDC, Datacraft, Arbor Networks, Nokia, CMP Asia and CNET Asia, and organizations such as the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and United National Development Programme (UNDP).
